What memories do you bring with you, when leaving Riga? Art Noveau buildings in the old town? Beautiful lassies? Post-soviet boroughs with multi-storey houses?
But what if Riga is a hideout for unique nature areas, known only by few?
This is a story about Buļļu (Daugavgrīvas) Island, a territory that can be reached from the city centre in less than half an hour by bus, yet it possesses unique natural diversity.
The film has participated in international environmental film festival SUN CHILD in Armenia in 2007.
The film was developed in cooperation with the Juris Podnieks Studio, Faculty of Biology of the University of Latvia, Riga City Council and Latvian Nature Protection Fund.
